Another important step for diversity+inclusion at Pepperl+Fuchs: Our company has signed the “Charta der Vielfalt” (Diversity Charter) and is visibly committed to an appreciative and unprejudiced working environment.
What is the “Charta der Vielfalt” (Diversity Charter)?
The “Charta der Vielfalt” is an employer initiative to promote diversity in companies and institutions. Founded in 2006, the initiative is supported by State Minister Reem Alabali-Radovan, the German Government Commissioner for Migration, Refugees and Integration. The aim of the “Charta der Vielfalt” is to promote appreciation, recognition and diversity in the workplace throughout Germany and to create a prejudice-free working environment in which all employees are appreciated and included – regardless of their gender and gender identity, ethnic origin and nationality, age, physical and mental abilities, religion and world view, sexual orientation and social background.
The heart of the initiative is the physical “Charta der Vielfalt”, which is now on public display in the form of a certificate – signed by State Minister Reem Alabali-Radovan and CHRO Florian Ochs – in the Pepperl+Fuchs company headquarters in Mannheim, Germany. By signing the “Charta der Vielfalt”, Pepperl+Fuchs is voluntarily committing itself to promoting diversity and appreciation in the working world within the company, thus sending a clear signal in favor of diversity and tolerance in working life.
Diversity+Inclusion at Pepperl+Fuchs
“Our working world is constantly changing,” says Cordula Straub, Director Corporate HR Legal and founding member of the international Diversity+Inclusion project team at Pepperl+Fuchs. “The influence of traditional role models is declining, and new, more diverse ideas and life models are becoming the norm. This is also a challenge for our corporate culture. Through our constant commitment to diversity and inclusion, we can successfully adapt to the ever-changing conditions. By signing the “Charta der Vielfalt”, we are now clearly positioning ourselves with regard to our employees, applicants, business partners and customers.”

The objective of the global Diversity+Inclusion project team is to strengthen a corporate culture in which diversity is easily accepted. After all, the diversity of human beings is a benefit for everyone, provided it is lived and accepted positively and respectfully. It allows all employees to develop their potential in the best possible way and thus also promote the diversity of products and solutions through their own individual experiences and ideas.
To achieve this target, the project team is carrying out global and local activities tailored to the individual regions. Signing the “Charta der Vielfalt” is a special milestone in 2024 and a strong signal for the local Diversity+Inclusion team at Pepperl+Fuchs in Germany. Pepperl+Fuchs is looking forward to working together towards a tolerant and prejudice-free working environment.
