Internal Sales Office Manager – UK & Ireland

The UK Internal Sales Manager is responsible for the administration, implementation, and management of all internal sales processes and the team responsible in this area.

The overall success of the UK operation relies heavily on the Manager as a focal point to as we seek to meet the expectations of our large and varied customer base.

These tasks await you:

  • Management of staff to ensure that administration, and customer inquiries are carried out in an accurate, efficient and timely manner
  • Resolution of issues arising from day to day business that are beyond the capabilities or authority of direct reports
  • Personal management of accounts or projects as deemed appropriate
  • To monitor and identify means by which the level of service or efficiency can be improved and to formulate plans for implementation
  • To liaise with the sales management and sales teams on all matters pertinent to key customers and to keep them well informed of any other general sales matters.
  • Review/negotiate customer’s terms and conditions in order to mitigate risk to the company.
  • To provide up to date data reporting for the sales team as required and to be proactive in the analysis of such data to provide good quality management information
  • Calculation and implementation of price increases as required
  • Oversee compliance with HMRC for the import /export of goods with a clear understanding of documentation requirements
  • Maintain and use the CRM (Siebel) database on an ongoing basis as the backbone for good organisation, planning, and communication.

Bring these qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the following areas:

  • Sales support and internal sales management (commercial  + technical) ideally in a manufacturing or distribution led company
  • Extensive  knowledge and understanding of business administrative processes
  • VAT and customs knowledge
  • Focussed accurate attention to detail and numeracy skills
  • Excellent Inter-personal, written and verbal communication traits
  • Detailed knowledge and extensive experience of MS Office particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience of ERP systems, ideally MOVEX and Siebel
  • Understanding of basic contract & employment law
  • Experience of dealing with large bureaucratic engineering organisations or end-customers
  • Experience in an industrial/engineering environment
  • Ability to lead, to persuade and to influence

  • Ambitious, self-motivated & disciplined with the ability to work autonomously and hands on
  • Excellent customer communication, relationship building and presentation skills
  • Capable of forging close working relations with existing/potential customers
  • Ability to easily interact with a demanding group of sales and account management team members.
  • Ability to prioritize work items based on business requirements
  • Excellent organisation and multitasking capabilities with ability to work under pressure
