Global Freight Manager
Tasks
- Develop and implement global freight strategies to drive efficiency and reliability.
- Analyse market trends to identify cost-saving and improvement opportunities.
- Select, evaluate, and negotiate with international freight forwarders.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with global logistics providers.
- Create and manage a structured freight partner management system.
- Optimize freight costs through data-driven decision-making and global tenders.
- Prepare freight budgets, forecasts, and cost analyses.
- Lead the implementation of logistics technologies and process improvements.
- Coordinate and develop a high-performing global freight team.
- Ensure compliance with international shipping and customs regulations while managing supply chain risks.
qualifications
- A degree in Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable field
- Proven experience in global freight or logistics management within an international company
- Fluent English (written and spoken)
- Strong project management and supplier negotiation skills
- Excellent data analysis and decision-support abilities
- Confident communication and presentation skills
- High level of initiative, self-motivation, and adaptability
- Team spirit and cultural sensitivity across global teams
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint; familiarity with databases (e.g., MS Access)
